Let's make the world a better place

Big science shapes the future; small, direct help changes a life today. Alongside funding research, we put money behind local charitable causes run by ordinary people, turning generosity into action in real communities.

Two ways we create change

Most of our work is big-picture: running studies and funding researchers whose discoveries take years to mature. That matters. But progress is also a hot meal, a repaired roof, a school project that actually gets funded.

So we also give directly. We back small, local charitable causes, often run by ordinary people rather than large institutions, and turn donations into action people can see in their own communities.

How direct giving works

  1. You tell us about a cause

Anyone can nominate a local charitable cause or a person doing real good: a food bank, a school project, a neighbor organizing relief. No paperwork marathon.

  2. We check it out

We verify the cause is genuine and that the help will reach people directly. We look for hands-on, community-level impact, not overhead.

  3. We fund direct action

We channel foundation funds and donor gifts to the cause and report back on what the money did. Small grants, fast, where they matter.

Nominate a cause

Know a local cause or a person doing real good? Tell us about it. Include what they do, who it helps, and how a small grant would make a difference.
